FAQ

Q: What is Christian Counseling?
A: Christian counseling is counseling or psychotherapy grounded in the Christian faith.

Q: How do I make an appointment?
A: Notify us by clicking on contact us link and fill out quick form, email or call number. We will be in contact with you within 48 hours.

Q: Do you take insurance?
A: No, many major insurance companies don’t recognize pastoral counseling as a medical intervention and, therefore, do not cover it. We do strive to make our services short-term intensive, which also keeps your costs down.

Q: Can I communicate with you between appointments?
A: Yes. Just email. Should you need to email after hours or on weekends, you will reach our voice mail, but we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible. If there is an actual emergency, please call 911 or get to an ER.

Q: What is your cost per 50-minute session?
A: We work with a sliding scale. Our base (minimum) fee is $40 per session. Our maximum (full) fee is $80 per session. Most fall somewhere in between. The formula followed to determine a per-session fee is $1 per $1K of your household’s annual gross. So, if your household’s combined annual income is $65K per year, the corresponding fee would be $65 per session. We do our very best to "meet people where they are" financially and otherwise. And we never want to create a hardship for anyone. Payment is due at the time of service which may be made either by cash, check or credit/debit card, whichever is easiest for you.

Q: What is the cost for premarital counseling?
A: Premarital Counseling is a 5-week commitment and the total cost is $200 per couple.
